Keith and I went to a day long workshop on 'selling your library in the real world' mostly about displaying items in the library more like a book store than an old fashioned library. I'm really excited to get started!

A parent of one of my kids emailed the library and gushed about how awesome I am, and that it is a "CRISIS" when her son can't come to a TAG meeting or YA program. :) She said she appreciates my "time, preparation, competency, and the kindness [I] continually display." Just thought I would brag on that for a minute. :P

Also, today is the birthday of W.H. Auden. I remembered when I heard his poem "Funeral Blues" in Four Weddings and a Funeral.

"Stop all of the clocks, cut off the telephone,
Prevent the dog from barking with a juicy bone,
Silence the pianos and with muffled drum
Bring out the coffin, let the mourners come."

I love it. Have a good, rainy evening everyone!
